Welcome to Jhumka Haus. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website jhumka.haus (the “Site”) and your purchase of products from us. By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About Us
Jhumka Haus is an online boutique based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, offering kurtis, jhumka earrings, and related fashion accessories. You can contact us at:

2. Products
We make every effort to display our products as accurately as possible. However:
- Many of our jhumkas and kurtis are handcrafted or feature handwork. Minor variations in color, finish, embroidery, and detailing are natural characteristics of handmade items, not defects.
- Colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings and lighting in product photography.
- All measurements (kurti sizes, earring lengths, weights) are approximate. Please refer to our size guide before ordering.
We reserve the right to discontinue any product or limit quantities at any time without notice.
3. Orders
- Orders may be placed through the Site, or via WhatsApp or Instagram by confirming the product, size, price, and delivery details with our team.
- An order is confirmed only once you receive an order confirmation from us (by email, SMS, or WhatsApp).
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or stock unavailability. If your order is cancelled after payment, you will receive a full refund.
- It is your responsibility to provide accurate delivery and contact information. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect details.
4. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are listed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout.
- Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
- We accept the following payment methods:
- Online payment via PayHere (credit/debit cards and other supported methods). Payments are processed securely by the payment gateway; we do not store your card details.
- Direct bank transfer to our designated bank account. Bank details will be shared at checkout or by our team for WhatsApp/Instagram orders. Orders paid by bank transfer are confirmed and dispatched only after the payment is received and verified. Please send your payment slip via WhatsApp or email when making a transfer.
- We do not offer Cash on Delivery. All orders must be paid in full before dispatch.
- If payment for an order is not received within [3] working days of placing it, the order may be cancelled and the items released back into stock.
5. Delivery
- We deliver island-wide within Sri Lanka through our courier partners. A delivery fee applies to all orders and is shown at checkout or confirmed during WhatsApp/Instagram orders.
- Orders within the Western Province are typically delivered within [3–7] working days. Deliveries to other provinces may take 10–15 working days. These are estimates, not guarantees; delays caused by couriers, weather, or other events beyond our control may occur.
- Risk of loss passes to you once the order is delivered to the address you provided.
- Please inspect your parcel upon delivery. If the package appears damaged or tampered with, note it with the courier and contact us within 48 hours with photographs.
6. Returns and Exchanges
- Earrings and jewelry (including jhumkas) are non-returnable and non-exchangeable for hygiene reasons, except where the item is damaged or defective on arrival.
- Kurtis may be exchanged for a different size within [7] days of delivery, provided the item is unworn, unwashed, with original tags attached, and in its original packaging. Courier charges for returns and exchanges are borne by the customer.
- Damaged or incorrect items: If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs. After verification, we will offer a replacement or a full refund, including delivery charges.
- Sale items, custom orders, and items purchased during clearance promotions are final sale unless damaged or defective.
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within [7–14] working days of us receiving and inspecting the returned item — to your card via PayHere for online payments, or by bank transfer for orders paid by bank transfer.
7. Cancellations
- You may cancel an order free of charge any time before it is dispatched by contacting us via email or WhatsApp.
- Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled, but you may be eligible for an exchange or return under Section 6.
8. Product Care
Handcrafted jewelry and garments require care. Oxidized and antique-finish jhumkas should be kept away from water, perfume, and moisture, and stored in a dry pouch. Kurtis should be washed according to the care label. Damage caused by improper care, normal wear and tear, or alteration is not covered under our return policy.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including the Jhumka Haus name, logo, product photographs, designs, text, and graphics — is the property of Jhumka Haus and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, place fraudulent orders, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Site.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jhumka Haus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Site or purchase of our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of Sri Lanka.
12. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy]. By using the Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described there.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
